(Greater Sudbury, ON) - Sudbury Wolves Sports and Entertainment’s iconic water tower has been shining brightly this month as a symbol of awareness, solidarity, and community pride.
From March 21st to the 27th, the water tower was illuminated blue and yellow in association with Sudbury Developmental Services, to recognize Down Syndrome awareness and inclusion. These colours represent joy, optimism, and hope, and were displayed as part of a broader global effort, with landmarks around the world lighting up in blue and yellow to show solidarity.
On March 30, the tower was lit red in association with the Northeastern Ontario Myeloma Association in recognition of Multiple Myeloma Awareness Month. This initiative is dedicated to raising awareness, supporting patients and families, and advancing research for multiple myeloma, the second most common form of blood cancer.
Through these lighting displays, the water tower continues to serve as more than a landmark. It stands as a beacon of awareness, compassion, and hope, reflecting the spirit and unity of the Greater Sudbury community.
